Blake Tubby (Arbordale Landscaping)
Blake talked to us at Congress 2017 about his experience and his time at Humber. Blake started his Arbordale career in the summer of 2001 after graduating high school, and then went on to graduate from Humber College in the Landscape Technician program. At Humber he studied horticulture, design, and landscape construction practices. After several years as a crew member, lead hand, and then project foreman, he now uses his knowledge of construction as a designer, estimator, and project manager for the business.
Tim Forestell – Co-Founder, Dozr
Tim works with Landscapers to help fill their equipment needs by connecting equipment renters with equipment lenders. Lenders can earn $ on their idle equipment and renters are able to find and rent equipment when they need it. We asked Tim about how he got his start in this business at Congress 2017.
Janna Bradley – COO, LMN
Janna is COO of LMN, a business helping landscape companies manage time and budgets – a software created for landscapers by landscapers. She talked to us at Congress 2017 about the landscaping industry and opportunities for students.
Warren Underhill – Scenic View Landscaping
With more than 10 years of experience developing beautiful gardens, decks, patios and driveways, Team Leader Warren Underhill has a philosophy that form should follow function with flair and creativity. He notes that a well-planned landscape design is like a symphony concert: all the elements of hardscapes such as interlocking brick and garden walls should come together with flowering borders, shrubs, trees, water features and lighting to create an effect that will bring daily pleasure to the owner and enjoyment through every season.
Troy Underhill – T Underhill Designs
We talked to Troy about his Landscape Construction business at Congress 2017. Troy specializes in hardscapes of all kinds and has been in business for 7 years. Troy grew up a family of landscapers and worked for the family business before starting T Underhill Designs. Troy spent ten seasons working in the landscape industry learning all aspects of the landscape trade. He attended Fanshawe College where he refined his skills and obtained a Diploma in Horticulture. He finished atop his class and in 2005, Troy was selected by his peers to compete in the Provincial Skills Canada Landscape Construction competition, where he received a gold medal in 2005.

Jill is the founder and owner of Jill Jensen Botanicals, operating about 40,000 sq ft. of greenhouse space on a 15 acre property in Newcastle Ontario. She spent several years working on training, research and project evaluation missions throughout Africa and the Middle East with organizations such as World Bank and USAID.

She is also the Horticultural Director for Canada Blooms, Toronto’s celebrated Flower and Garden Festival.
