Taylor took time to chat with us during the HEA meeting at Canada Blooms this year. She is currently enrolled in the Specialist High Skills Major in Horticulture and Landscaping at Grey Highlands Secondary School, Flesherton (Bluewater District School Board)

Benjamin Buchmuller, NPD – Student Ambassador

Ben speaks to High School students at Canada Blooms, sharing his experiences through education. Ben now works with Stonescape Creations – a Landscape and Stonemasonry business in Burlington, Ontario.

Mike Palermo – Student Ambassador

Mike speaks to High School students at Canada Blooms, sharing his experiences through education. Mike is now owner of Arrowhead Meats in Gowanstown, Ontario.

Charlie Briggs – Student Ambassador

Charlie speaks to High School students at Canada Blooms, sharing his experiences through education. Charlie is a Gardener at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington, Ontario. He studied at Fanshawe College in London and at Olds College in Alberta. Charlie looks after the Maintenance Crews and any new Renovations at RBG.

Andrea Weddum – Graduate Niagara Parks School of Horticulture

We asked Andrea about her own experiences through school in our profession. Andrea is a recent graduate of Niagara Parks School of Horticulture and is currently a Landscape Designer with Gelderman Landscape Services.

Jeremy Kamp – Apprentice Landscaping, Fanshawe College

Jeremy went through the apprenticeship program at Fanshawe College, he started out as an entrepreneur and now runs a landscape design & build business (Nicola’s Garden Art).

Sophie Williams – Student Gardener (Royal Botanical Gardens)

Sophie Williams is a Student Gardener working at the RBG in Burlington, Ontario. She studied at Sheridan College then found Fanshawe College’s Landscape Design.

Charlie Briggs – RBG Staff Gardener

Charlie Briggs is a Gardener at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington, Ontario. He studied at Fanshawe College in London and at Olds College in Alberta. Charlie looks after.

Jake Dunning – Student Gardener (Royal Botanical Gardens)
